Cutty Sark embarks on a nautical Christmas

Whisk your guests away from central London on their own private boat, enjoy entertainment, fizz and canapés as your guests look out over the glittering lights of London, including South Bank, Tower of London and Canary Wharf.

Arriving in style to Greenwich Pier, your guests will be greeted by the team and the impressively lit Cutty Sark before descending into the ship’s famous bough.

Tastefully styled to echo the ship’s history, tables will be decked with miniature treasure chests overflowing with flowers and gold, and up-lit bars framed with tall rope-bound vases.

Choose from our range of packages that includes everything from a reception for 300 to a sit down dinner for 100 under the ship’s gleaming copper hull. Experience the ship’s travels through the spicing, methods and ingredients used, including the Cutty Sark Whisky cured salmon, 24-hour cooked Essex pork with a spiced tea rub and Greenwich battered pollack. Or for a sweet treat, black tea cupcakes, spiced rum cream or Cutty Sark Whisky chocolate delice with macerated strawberries.

Borough Market launches its first Christmas with Harbour & Jones Events

Borough Market has announced a partnership with boutique caterer Harbour & Jones Events, the companies will work together for Christmas, and going forward into 2015.

This is the first time Borough Market has created a joint package with a caterer and the first time the venue has officially been open for Christmas events.

Creating new packages for event bookers, the menus have been designed to reflect Borough Market’s outstanding food credentials, using produce from the market’s traders as well as providing unique add-ons that tie in with the market’s history.

Borough Market can accommodate receptions for up to 350 in its striking Market Hall as well as seated dinners for up to 100 in 1 Cathedral Street, a grand Victorian building that is the historic home of the old Borough Market Trustees.

“It’s very exciting for us to be able to work with the country’s most well known market whose name is synonymous with food quality and provenance,” said Patrick Harbour, Co-owner and Director of Harbour & Jones Events.

“Borough Market has been a part of our company’s history since Harbour & Jones was first created in 2004. We used to bring all new starters to the company to the market for their inductions to enthuse them about food and give them the opportunity to talk to some of our suppliers in person.”

Harbour & Jones Events announces five-year contract with Church House Conference Centre

Harbour & Jones Events has been announced as the new exclusive hospitality and events caterer at Church House Conference Centre. Taking over from 1st September, the contract is worth in excess of £8 million during the five year term.

Church House will be the largest venue in our prestigious venue collection, accommodating up to 664 guests in the impressive Assembly Hall.

Superbly located in the Dean’s Yard, Church House further strengthens our links to the area where we are also a listed caterer at the iconic Westminster Abbey.

“Church House Conference Centre has an exceptional reputation for service and food and it is our aim to make this even stronger. We will be working to introduce new food and event concepts later in the year,” said Patrick Harbour, Owner and Director of Harbour & Jones Events.

“We’re looking forward to working with Harbour & Jones Events to refresh our offer and further widen our audience,” added Robin Parker, Church House General Manager.

Harbour & Jones Events will offer a wide array of services including day delegate packages, events catering, private dinners, award ceremonies and gala dinners across the venue’s 19 event spaces.
